VCA Interactive intends to release the first fully realized voice-activated DVD with their upcoming title “Double O Blonde”. Public Beta testing for the voice-activation program will will continue until the final product meets the high standards of quality VCA Interactive is known for. The company intends to premier the fully tested title at the Adult Entertainment Expo in January of 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the fall of 2001 VCA Interactive partnered with software development company VoiceDVD to begin work on the technology that will soon revolutionize the DVD industry. VoiceDVD licensed this technology from ScreenFriends Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of WENR Corp. The culmination of their efforts created a new program that will not only alter the course of Adult Entertainment, but also affect the future of the DVD market worldwide.

VoiceDVD was created to allow viewers to control the DVD player software on their PC with voice commands through a microphone attachment. The program does not require voice training, but the option will be available in the software. When completed the viewer can change positions, angles, intensity, even the mood of the music playing in the background. “This technology provides the user with a more interactive experience,” says Azat Aslanyan, Project Manager for VoiceDVD. He adds, “They are able to converse with the characters in the movie with their voice rather than the click of the mouse. This gives the user a real feeling of a one-on-one experience.” The original prototype was introduced at the AVN Adult Expo in Las Vegas in January of 2002. The vehicle for the demo was on the Fantasex DVD release “Chloe Cums First” and the program tested to an overwhelmingly positive response.

The program requires a PC with a Windows operating system, but can be connected to a television with a simple cable connection. If the viewer chooses, however, they can play the DVD in a traditional DVD player and enjoy the same action, just without the voice-command option.

VoiceDVD and VCA Interactive have worked together to develop proprietary DVD software wholly owned and license-free for distribution. The software will be bundled directly on to the DVD.
